Camping

Individual and family campsites tucked among the pines at Sly Park.

The Sly Park Recreation Area surrounds Jenkinson Lake with nine campgrounds shaded by tall ponderosa pine and cedar. Sites suit tents and RVs up to 40 feet — from quiet, woodsy spots at the back of the park (Hazel, Rainbow, Kamloop, Dogwood) to popular water-view loops steps from the lake (Pinecone, Sierra, Chimney).

Each site comes with a picnic table, fire ring, and barbecue. Vault toilets and water faucets are located throughout the campgrounds, and the shoreline trail connects most loops to the boat launch, day-use areas, and fishing spots.

Campground Basics

  • Individual sites hold up to 6 people; family sites up to 12 (including children)
  • Tents and RVs up to 40'; picnic table, fire ring, and BBQ at every site
  • Vault toilets and drinking water throughout the campgrounds
  • ADA sites available in Hazel Creek and Sierra loops
  • No pets or diapers in the lake or streams, per state drinking-water law
Reservations: book up to six months ahead for camping March through November; December–February is first-come, first-served depending on weather. Cancellations up to four days out incur a $15 fee. Reserve online through the Sly Park camping reservations page.
